During the visit of the Governor of Fars to Namazi Hospital in Shiraz, several key health and treatment projects worth approximately 350 billion Tomans were put into operation. These measures will play an important role in improving medical infrastructure, medical education, and strengthening Shiraz’s position as the treatment hub of Iran. At the operation ceremony of the construction and equipment projects of Namazi Hospital in Shiraz, the Governor of Fars pointed out the historical position of this medical center and said: Namazi Hospital is one of the enduring charities, and the late Namazi, may God have mercy on him, turned Shiraz into a regional and national medical brand by establishing it. He added: The inauguration of today’s projects should be accompanied by the remembrance and honoring of the noble and philanthropic personality who became the source of lasting services. I suggest that a detailed memorial be held for the late Namazi; both in honor of his valuable services and to set a model for today’s society. Benefactors are the mirror of the past, and a society that appreciates them will take steps on the path of human development. Referring to the role of humans in the health system, the Governor of Fars said: Humans are creatures with emotions and feelings, and remembering benefactors and the past has an impact on other well-wishers and leads to role models that illuminate the path of service and charity. Referring to the status of Fars’ health and treatment indicators at the beginning of assuming responsibility for the province, Amiri said: Despite its privileged medical status, Shiraz faces deprivation from the perspective of some indicators and requires special measures to upgrade its infrastructure. He emphasized: Hospitals, treatment beds, and health assessment criteria must be developed in proportion to the population and domestic and foreign visitors. Referring to the rapid developments in medical science and the impact of cruel sanctions on the country’s scientific field, the Governor of Fars said: Today, we are witnessing advances in the field of lasers and modern surgeries, but in order to maintain its scientific and medical status, we need to strengthen research infrastructure. Amiri said: Namazi Hospital’s position as a medical and educational center must be maintained at the peak, and the needs of medical students must also be given special attention. He added: Medicine is a job with human lives, and it is impossible to train capable students without a capable professor and appropriate research tools. The governor of Fars emphasized: In a society that does not have sufficient health, progress cannot be expected. He emphasized: The country’s resources are limited, but healthcare cannot be stopped. This area requires immediate action and delaying it will be detrimental. The governor of Fars also pointed out the productive capacity of properties without active use and emphasized: Changing the use and utilization of these assets can put medical projects on the path to faster exploitation and become a productive asset for the University of Medical Sciences. He considered Namazi Hospital to be the brand of the Shiraz healthcare network and said that this reputation must be maintained. Amiri called nurses rescue angels and added: Their white coats are a symbol of serving God’s servants and their work is accompanied by heart and love.
